Evening Run/Club Meeting 12th July 2007

What has happened to our summer weather? That is the question we were all asking when we met at Bridge of Don park and ride for a run out to the Ythan Hotel in nearby Newburgh with the proposed photo opportunity at the picturesque harbour area in Collieston. 6 cars assembled and duly set off for our Bar supper cars belonging to Jim, John, Carl (and son accompanying him), Sam, Gordon and myself. Thanks to the Ythan Hotel for some very tasty suppers which we all greatly enjoyed and thanks to the members that made it along and made it a most enjoyable outing (as always!) Sadly by the time we were ready to continue for the picture shoot the light had failed dramatically (is this really July?!?) and we decided to abandon our plans in this regard. Probably just as well as the rain started up within 2 miles of leaving in the direction I took home, wonder how the brave hood down members fared! Sometimes there is a distinct advantage having a GT!!!
