April 14th - Outing to Aboyne....
For the first of the season’s outings
Jim Tierney organised a gentle evening run from Kingswells to the Boat Inn at
Aboyne.
16 cars turned up to enjoy
the gentle run from Kingswells through Garlogie towards Torphins in beautiful
evening sunshine. In fact the low sun as we all headed West caused quite a glare
– especially for a few who had not yet looked out their sun-glasses!
Then it was south over the hill to Kincardine O’Neil and along the
Deeside Road to Aboyne.
We gathered at the Boat Inn for something to eat
and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and an excellent meal accompanied by a
good chat before breaking up to head homeward well satisfied in all
respects.
Thanks go to Jim for arranging the evening and for setting an
excellent standard for our runs.

Next meeting
The club meeting this month
will be replaced by the MGOC get together at Craigendarroch Hotel, 21st/22nd
May. Last year was a great event and well worth the drive to attend, I
think that there are plans to do a trip to the Grampian Transport Museum and
also a few of our castles as well. It’s a good weekend and nice to meet
like minded folks from south of the border.
