Kildrummy 50th Car Rally


This is the motley crew that met, perhaps a tad early, on reflection, at Inverurie before proceeding on to the meet at Leith Hall.

Excellent turn out here with cars belonging to, from left to right, John, Carl, Graham, myself (& Karen), Geoff and Jim. We were joined at the rally by John Williams in his MGA and also new members Kate and Neil in their new acquisition MGB Roadster.

An excellent day out and some quite fantastic cars on show which made Geoff’s win in class an even greater result given the competition he was up against on the day. (Think my Dixie horns ruined my chances as made my car too heavily modified!!!)

Pictured here is the full turnout of Club MG’s assembling at Kingswells park and ride before the run down Union Street to the Beach Ballroom for tea and sandwiches with the Lord Provost.

Here’s hoping that this event does continue in the future as it would be a shame to see such an event be discontinued. It is so good to see all these vintage  and classic cars out on the road where every one can enjoy them!

 

Picture below is of the MG M type which caught my eye at Leith Hall and shows that Yellow MG’s have been around for a while! LOL
