For the first of the season’s outings Jim Tierney organised a gentle evening run from Kingswells to the Boat Inn at Aboyne.

16 cars turned up to enjoy the gentle run from Kingswells through Garlogie towards Torphins in beautiful evening sunshine. In fact the low sun as we all headed West caused quite a glare – especially for a few who had not yet looked out their sun-glasses!

Then it was south over the hill to Kincardine O’Neil and along the Deeside Road to Aboyne.

We gathered at the Boat Inn for something to eat and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and an excellent meal accompanied by a good chat before breaking up to head homeward well satisfied in all respects.
